The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) assesses properties yearly.  After each re-assessment, a notice is mailed to the property owners – generally done in the fall of each year.  Municipalities use this assessment for calculating the property tax.  Questions regarding your assessment should be directed to MPAC.

If you disagree with the assessment on your property, there are two opportunities to have it reviewed.  The first is a Request for Reconsideration, carried out by MPAC.  The deadline for this is MARCH 31 of the current year.  Forms are available on MPAC’s website or at the Township Office.  The second is to file a Notice of Complaint with the Assessment Review Board.  This options deadline is December 31 of the current year, and a fee applies.
